To ensure the establishment of systems to support the business processes and functions in accordance with ERWAT’s Strategy.

Key Performance Areas

• Analyse, design, configure, and maintain LIMS workflows, functionalities, and interfaces.
• Implement, maintain and support new and existing (LIMS) systems for ERWAT. Analyse and develop business requirements specifications within the ICT/LIMS environment.
• Continuously ensure effective maintenance is carried out on systems such as patch management, new releases, bug fixes, database maintenance etc. in line with company policies, procedures and the appropriate standards.
• Collaborate with laboratory users to understand operational requirements and translate them into system solutions.
• Support the implementation of ICT related policies and procedures. Provides sapient advice to internal and external clients related to improving operations and areas of specialization.
• Assist with the maintaining of records and documentation as per prescribed procedure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide user support and training.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 17025,) in system configuration and data integrity.

Minimum Requirements:

• BSc Computer Science and Informatics/Information Systems/Information Sciences
• 5 years technical experience working with a Laboratory Information Management Systems (Preferably Labware) OR         
• BTech/ bachelor’s degree in information technology with 5 years technical experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (Preferably Labware) OR
• BSc in Chemistry/Microbiology with 5 years technical experience working with a Laboratory Information Management Systems (Preferably Labware) OR
• National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry/ Chemistry/Biotechnology/Microbiology with 10 years’ technical experience working with a Laboratory Information Management Systems (Preferably Labware)
• Certifications Required for Chemistry/Microbiology / Analytical Chemistry/ Biotechnology Qualification Candidates

1. Labware Admin 1 or equivalent or;
2. Labware Admin 2 or equivalent or;

1. LIMS Basic Programming or equivalent
